everyday i wake up alone...
Eden sat in the middle of her bedroom, the floor around her covered in paint, along with herself. She had been heavily into art while still among the living, and she certainly carried that trait with her into death, so there she sat with a canvas between her knees and paintbrushes behind her ear. She had discarded her shirt long ago, when she got a long streak of green down the front of it, and so she sat shirtless, because she was alone. Even if she hadn't been alone she probably would've discarded the shirt anyways, because Eden wasn't very modest or self conscious. She was dead! What did she have to be afraid of anyways?
She dipped one of the paintbrushes into the red paint, dragging it across the canvass, before slipping the paintbrush back behind her ear. The red paint clung to her hair and she chuckled lightly, grabbing the joint she had lit previously and taking a long hit. Everyone knew that artists needed to be high to reach their full potential! She giggled to herself as she took another hit. She grabbed another paint brush and got back to work, splattering paint here and filling in empty spots there. She used her fingers too, adding fine details with her nails. Painting was a messy job with Eden - but someone had to do it!
Eden took another hit, and after a few more strokes with her brush the painting was done. She stood up, hanging the canvas on the wall by her bed. She stared at it for a moment before quickly dragging her nails across the canvas to add a final detail, then deciding it was done. She finished off the joint before lighting another one, tossing the paintbrushes across the room, aiming it towards the cup of water but missing. She didn't bother cleaning up the mess she made, instead simply flopping back on her bed. The paint was all over her - matted in her hair, in droplets and trails along her face and torso, in stains on her bell bottoms. She took a long hit off the joint, closing her eyes and thinking of her next idea.
