with a touch of a new heart,
Narcissa sat on the bright green grass in the park, a fistful of various wildflowers settled in her lap. She had already started on the chain, stringing several together. The flowers were all various different colors and lengths, and the chain looked rather odd that way, but she liked it. When all the flowers were used, she nestled the chain onto the top of her head and smiled softly. She remembered sitting in the backyard of her childhood home, not older than five with her mother, stringing daisy’s together and wearing them as headbands for the rest of the day. She sighed softly, and laid back in the grass at the memories. She missed being young, when everything was simple and nothing really mattered besides what games you were going to play that day. She missed being alive. She missed eating and drinking and feeling the effects of a good joint or a good drink. She even missed having a hangover. She missed being able to feel.
Narcissa laid there for awhile, losing track of time. She stared up at the sky, her arms stretched out on either side of her. She didn’t realize how long she had laid there until she spotted the sun dipping down below the horizon. The golden rays peeked out between the branches and shining through the leaves, hues of green appearing on the ground. The sky was turning a deep orange color, with shades of red and yellow. She remembered when she would go on vacation to the beach with her family, and they’d spend all day on the sand and watch the sunset before finally driving back to the hotel. She’d fall asleep on the car ride home, and her parents would carry her up to the hotel room, not wanting to wake her. Nostalgia flooded through her and she frowned slightly, watching the sun as it dipped behind the trees and the sky slowly darkened into night. She waited for the stars before slowly standing up, making her way toward the exit slowly to start heading back to the abandoned building she called home.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

d o n t t r y t o m a k e m e s t a y o r a s k i f i m o k a y i don't have the answer.... Eddie hopped around town once again. He was searching around for potential suitors. It was pretty much all he did anymore. Yah, life lately, had been pretty damn depressing for him. Nobody seemed to catch his eye. Maybe Penny would feel more comfortable with a female? Eddie laughed at the idea of the traditional girl with another. It was definitely more than laughable. It was time for him to take an hour off from his search and just take a bit of a snooze. With a few skips down the sidewalk, Eddie was suddenly in the park. So it seemed like his hour of freedom would be spent here. Sounded good to him. A laughed escaped his throat as he watched a dog attack his owner. As a child Eddie had always wanted a dog. Hell, he still wanted a dog now. Was there a dead dog shop around the corner? Or did dogs automatically pass over once the hit the rainbow bridge? Man, he wish there was a dead dog shop around the corner. He could use some companionship at a time like this. Then again, how fucking horrible would that be? A dog being stuck in limbo? Was that the right term for this torment in his undead-life. Oh lord it was torture!
Eddie groaned at continue to stroll the narrow pathways in between the lush lawns. He honestly just wanted to start dancing. There wasn't any kind of tune that was whirling throughout the air at this sudden moment. Living dead was horrible. At least until he pushed Penelope in the right direction. That might be how he gets out of this place, and faced the gates. Which would he be forced into? Would he fall in flames, or learn of a castle on a cloud? He pondered this thought, staring at the sky for what seemed like only the moment.
Damn. It must have been a lot longer than a moment. The sun was starting to go down, the moon was returning to it's nightly job. The life of a dead man. Now he was just moping. He sighed. He shuffled his feet. He puffed a cloud of air from his lungs. He had a purpose for staying in this gray area, it was to find Penny someone to protect her. That was enough to get him through most days lately. But when it wasn't.... all he could do was kick the pebbles on the pavement and hope that would move with the force he had exerted. Eddie sighed once again, and pushed his feet to move back toward the exit of the park. He walked aimlessly for a few more steps, unsure of his next move, until his body collided into a smaller one and left him on the ground.
Slowly, Eddie looked up to see his victims eyes. Victim! He laughed and jumped up. "Cissy!" Wrapping his arms around her, he laughed softly, ruffling her hair, kissing her forehead! Oh that Cissa. Their relationship was definitely complicated. She was hot though, and a good listener, and bored... So that's kind of how they became really close friends. And how they slept together... That and a abandoned crack house, along with a couple of joints. "Where have you been all my lie lie lie life ife ifeeeee, He sang gleefully, draping an arm over her shoulders. "Can we go back to HQ now?" He whined, bumping her hip with his.

with a touch of a new heart,
Cissa’s eyes were focused on the ground in front of her. Even after all these years, she was fascinated by the way her footsteps made no sound. It was a bit childish of her, but she didn’t care. Her eyes wandered about the ground and she stood still. She pushed up a bit of dirt with the toe of her shoe and almost smiled before continuing on her way. The park was nearly empty now, everyone had mostly gone home to their families and their warm cozy beds. The young woman missed being able to go home to her family and fall asleep in her bed, to wake up to a nice breakfast in the morning and then go on with her day - among the living. Now she was dead, and she will never be able to experience another conversation with another living human being, or enjoy a well cooked breakfast, or even the joy of ever being a mother. That’s the depressing part of being dead. The more amusing and fun parts of being dead though, were things like being able to sneak into the boys bathroom and not get caught, and she would never have any more responsibilities or have to worry about getting pregnant or std’s. Being dead wasn’t that bad after all, but it definitely wasn’t what she wanted. She would give anything to be living again.
Narcissa walked to the gate of the park, and just as she was about to exit she felt another presence bump into her. She looked up, and grinned as she saw the familiar face of her dead friend Eddie. She giggled softly as he hopped up and she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, smiling up at him. “Hey, you. How was your Penny adventure day?” She smirked up at him and lightly kissed his cheek before stepping back and running her hand through her hair. “I’ve been living in a different state than you....and then we died, so technically your life is over.” She nodded, and chuckled lightly. “But of course we can. We can smoke a joint and you can tell me about your day!” She nodded, wrapping her arm around his middle, grinning up at him.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

d o n t t r y t o m a k e m e s t a y o r a s k i f i m o k a y i don't have the answer.... Eddie smiled over at his female companion. They were definitely companions. That was one way to label them, but were there other ways to label their friendship too? Eddie wasn't one of those pricks that walked around declaring that labels didn't matter. Whoever was going around preaching that must have been eating their own shit every morning for breakfast. Everyone had a label. That's how society worked. That's how the Queen of England was the Queen of England. It's how married couples got out of going out with the next in the next office over that smelled like old cheese. Labels were everything. It was those damn hipsters! They had to challenge everything!
He looked over at Narcissa again, still trying to decide what they were to each other. They kind of lived together, didn't they? She had also been the one to help him from stalking his almost fiance. Was it still called stalking now that he was a ghost? Or would it fall under the category of haunting. Eddie sighed. The world of the dead was far to complicated for him. Yet another reason he needed Cissa! She was like a mentor! She had years over him with all this dead stuff. He had really only been dead a little bit over a month.
Eddie simply groaned at the mention of his so called "adventurous day". Everyone he'd seen was either too fucking weird or snobby. What Penny needed was him. She needed a copy of him! A living copy! Okay, maybe not a complete copy of him being that he cheated on her every other night... But someone comparable to him! "Eh...rough," Eddie laughed with a shrug of his shoulder. He found it better to laugh of the problem rather than mope about it. Either laugh, or plot revenge.... But the second option didn't really fit in this scenario... unless he wanted to kill himself a second time... "It would've better if I had a mate to weather the storm with," He sang teasingly, kissing her cheek. "Oh, shove a sock monkey!" Eddie smirked teasingly, pushing her shoulder gently, ruffling her hair roughly. "If you had pig-tails we could play school house bully!" He mused softly, pulling a hand through his own hair, linking his arm with hers, laughing softly.
"Shweet! Lego amigo!" The man laughed, kissing her cheek. He smacked her perfectly shaped ass, and ran ahead of the to be determined labeled girl.

with a touch of a new heart,
Narcissa grinned over at her friend, chuckling softly as she watched him. When she first met him, he was so depressed and upset over his death. Now he was back to his normally happy and energetic self, and she couldn’t be more happy. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly, smiling up at him before placing a kiss on his lips. Her full lips formed a frown up at him as he talked about his day and she sighed, nodding slowly. She knew it wouldn’t come easy to them, the man that was supposed to make Penny happy. She knew it would take time, but she certainly hated how long exactly it was taking. “It’s alright, mate. You can go again tomorrow.” She nodded, turning her frown back into a reassuring smile as she hugged him.
Narcissa laughed shortly and smirked, slowly rolling her eyes. “Do you want me to go with you tomorrow then? After all, two is better than one.” Honestly, she didn’t really trust him to find the perfect girl for Penny, even though he did know her for so long. He’d pick someone too perfect, when all Penny wanted was a simple, down to earth guy. Or at least, that’s the type of guy Cissa thought she wanted. And once the young woman had her mind set, there was no changing it. She smirked darkly up at her friend, lightly smacking his stomach. “I’m sure you’d enjoy playing schoolhouse bully, but not in public.” She nodded, and chuckled softly. She smirked up at him, and nodded, starting to walk towards the abandoned house - HQ, or Headquarters, as they referred to it - but stopped as she felt him smack her ass. She squeaked quietly, giggling and running after him. She hopped onto his back, wrapping her legs around his middle and her arms around his neck, ruffling his hair. “You touched my butt.” She nodded, smirking down at him.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

d o n t t r y t o m a k e m e s t a y o r a s k i f i m o k a y i don't have the answer.... Lately Eddie had been confused. He wasn't fully aware of what he could do with his new status. Eddie wasn't the type to mope. He'd never really moped. Even when Penny had been upset with him, he'd just quickly apologize and make her love him again. They had a unique relationship. It was almost sickening now that he thought about it. No matter how many times he cheated on her, he'd always come home to her, and she would always take him back. Good lord! He'd have to fine her someone faster than his originally anticipated! Penny was a thinker. She was always thinking about everything. She was an over analyzer, and she knew this. Eddie had wormed his way out of several situations because she just assumed she was just over analyzing something. If she was left alone for too long she would a) start to hate him completely and entirely, in which she would have a great reason to, or b) assume that she'd never find anyone that could she could love. They were equally horrible! If only he could relay the message down to her like they did with the rainbow God in all those Percy Jackson books. If only he was Percy Jackson... "Sounds like a plan, dawg," Eddie laughed, jumping up as he walked under the branches of a willowy tree to pluck a leaf from it's abundance.
Alright. Yah. Eddie and Cissa had gotten really close in the short amount of time they'd known each other. This wasn't some twisted love story where they ended up committing suicide in each others arms. First of all, they had both already died. And secondly, Eddie was sure stories of that sort only occurred with the love of ones life. Penny was the love of his life, right? Well at least his thoughts seemed intelligent for a minute or so. What did Edmund Greystone even know about love? Sure he had once sang lovely, sappy, love songs, but did he even know what he was singing? He could've been singing about shooting heroin and he wouldn't know what he was really singing about. He liked to think Penny was the love of his life, but if she wasn't... Well he didn't like to think that way. Eddie pressed his lips to the girl with raven hair. He wasn't smart enough to put a label on their relationship, but he kind of didn't want to either. He enjoyed having Cissa around, to just act crazy with until they waited out the gray hour together.
Laughter erupted from Eddie's lungs as he continued to skip out of the park with Cissa by his side. "Two is better than oneeeeee!" He bellowed. Yah... This relationship confused him too much, which is why he tried to push his mind away from the topic. He simply couldn't wrap his mind around it. Taylor Swift was always swell to sing at a moment of confusion. Which is why he sang Swiftie songs the most frequently. Sorry lads, that didn't mean he was playing for the other team. He liked pussy cats way too much.
A dark smirk crept across the silly boy's lips. He didn't entire mean for his joke to sound so dirty. Okay, who was he kidding. He was a dirty boy, with more dirty jokes than clean ones. "Whoa Cissa, let's keep this PG rated!" He teased with a smirk, and poked her side. Everything was sort of starting to feel eerily familiar. Like bad deja vu. With a simple shrug, the thought left Eddie's pea-sized brain, and continued to run ahead of her. "Yah..." He smirked back at her. "What are you gonna do about it?" Eddie yelled back at her.

with a touch of a new heart, Narcissa wasn’t so sure why she had such strong feelings for a guy she had never met before. She had been dead long before his rise to fame so she didn’t know him from that, so truly they had only met maybe a few weeks ago. And yet they were practically living together, spending every moment with each other. She honestly couldn’t get enough of this boy, and yet...she had no idea why. He was funny, yes, and a bit crazy as well. But he was handsome and absolutely amazing in bed. Is that why she liked him so much? Because he was a good fucker? She didn’t think she was that shallow, but it was a possibility. She did enjoy spending time with him when they were not all over each other, so the sex had something to do with her friendship, but it wasn’t the only thing. The corners of Narcissa’s mouth turned up into a smile as she watched him, and she plucked the leaf that he had been holding and slipped it behind her ear, tucking it into the makeshift headband of flowers on the top of her head.
Narcissa continued to contemplate the relationship between the two as she walked behind him along the sidewalk. She was broken out of her daydream when he began to sing and she laughed softly, smirking over at him. “Of course it is!” She laughed, nodding. She ran up beside him, linking their arms and leaning into him. Her eyes slowly drifted up to meet his and she watched his dark smirk, matching it with her own. She snorted softly, shaking her head slowly, laughing to herself. “You never keep anything pg rated!” She laughed, her hand running through her hair. She pushed his hand away and poked his side back, sticking out her tongue up at him. She felt more comfortable around him than she felt around anyone - living or dead - and she didn’t know whether that made her upset or not. The only reason it would is because it just showed that she had no true friends while alive. Eddie was her only true friend, and she hadn’t found him until after her death - her murder. “You’ll see!” Narcissa ran back to the abandoned building that they called home and headed straight up to the room that they had been sleeping in. She fell back on the bed and waited for him to get home, trying to formulate a plan.

d o n t t r y t o m a k e m e s t a y o r a s k i f i m o k a y i don't have the answer.... Eddie flashed her another toothy grin. He hadn't yet noticed her crafty work that sat atop of her dark hair. It looked kind of funny, in a Cissa sort of way. To him, the girl that walked close to him was a ghost even before her short life had ended. Of course he didn't entirely know her like he might eventually. Maybe her death was what caused her heart to hallow out. He wasn't really sure. He hadn't really taken the time to collect evidence surrounding Miss West's emotional changes. Wow. Eddie truly loved it when he sounded intelligent in his own mind. To anyone else he probably seemed like a complete and utter idiot. If he learned anything in English during high school though, it was that a good transcendentalist didn't really care too much about what others thought of him as long as he worried about what he thought of himself. Not that he was a transcendentalist or anything...It wasn't that loony. That that transcendentalists were loony. Yah...The places his thoughts travel to. His eyes landed on the crown woven out of flowers again. It was very Hester Prynne of her.... No Pearl. What was Pearl's last name? Did Hawthorne ever specify? Who was he kidding? Even if it would've been typed in, Eddie wouldn't have seen it. He hardly read the book at all. Most chapters he just spark-noted, and the segments he had actually read... Well, staring at a wall would've made more sense to him. He skipped over major parts of the story without even realizing it. He would just read over paragraphs. Due to his laser focus to the bright colors in the woman's dark hair, Eddie hadn't even noticed that the leave he had stolen off a tree's branches was now in Cissa's clutches! The clutches of a witch! Eddie laughed to himself for a moment and shook his head at his stupidity. If all else failed... He could find a way to entertain himself if he had to be alone. Maybe the bloke would write a novel. He'd call it, Transcendentalism: Forced. Yeah, it'd be a hit. It's no big deal. Really.
Eddie laughed again at her quick and sharp response. Narcissa West probably had the quickest tongue in the west. Her retorts were always pretty spot on. She also put her tongue to use elsewhere, and was gifted in those areas which were more private matters. Yah, okay. The only secret Eddie had ever kept was his relationship with Penny. Every other secret, aside from that one, he had blabbed about. It wasn't his fault! Greystone couldn't help it! It was in his DNA! D-D-D-N-A, and he just takes my breath away... Oh that Little Mix. They always had a catchy tune wafting out of the speakers. To make it a long unorganized story, short, Cissa was good at sucking. Or blowing. Or jobbing. A darker smirk appeared on his lips. If he wasn't dead, maybe he'd be appalled at himself and horrified that he'd even look at another besides Penny. But he knew in the back of his mind, that wasn't the least bit true. He could never be faithful, and somehow Penny had found a way to be okay with that. A fact more puzzling that even those 1000 piece cloud puzzles. Who honestly had the time to sort out cloud puzzle pieces!?!? "I resent that, Miss West!" He laughed, shaking his head. "I keep everything PG rated!" Eddie nodded proudly as he held his head high.
A groan escaped his throat as she ran off to HQ, he assumed. Yah, he wasn't really sure how they established it as HQ. It was his idea, yah. But he had forgotten the story to go along with it. It was something like, they were just walking around and then he found it, Cissa found some weed in a room downstairs... They just kind of hung around there. Eddie enjoyed Cissa's company. She was warm to sleep with, and just pleasant to be around. When they'd first met all he remember really was her trying to seduce him. That probably wasn't even the right term. But it was definitely awkward. Now that he was thinking about it, it made him chortle a bit. Eddie started to push his legs to move faster until he was chasing her back to the old abandoned house. The word eager didn't really describe how he was feeling at that moment. Cissa seemed like she had a plan! And he was about to crack the code! Eddie swiftly made his way up to the bedroom they'd spent their time in while at HQ, and jumped down on the mattress. Boy did it feel good to lay down! And with his girlfri-- Back to the topic of labels.... If only his thoughts didn't get so out of control! The world might make a bit more sense for him! Eddie laughed, and stared at the ceiling resting his head on her stomach like he always did. "So what's the sitch?" He smirked up at her, pulling her shirt up slightly to blow a raspberry on her midriff.

with a touch of a new heart, Narcissa’s eyes moved upwards to watch his face, and she smirked as she saw the dark smirk on his lips. She wondered what he was thinking, and a few thoughts ran through her mind. Certain thoughts that would make her blush to say them aloud. She smirked darkly up at him and her arms slowly folded over her chest. He had an even dirtier mind than her, and yet he was claiming to be so innocent. She shook her head slowly, not fooled by his ‘resentment.’ “You liar. Every thought that runs through your mind is rated R and you know it.” She giggled, running her hand through her hair. Now she wasn’t claiming to be all pure and innocent herself, of course not. In fact, she had the dirtiest mind among her friends - while she was alive, but Eddie was worse. Or maybe they were equal. Whatever the answer was, they both couldn’t keep their dirty thoughts to themselves. The dirty thoughts from before still clouded the ghost’s mind and she couldn’t seem to get them out of her head, so she just tried to think of something else - like the plan she had.
Narcissa had to think of a plan fast before he got home, because she knew he’d end up distracting her immensely and then she’d forget the plan. She laid back as she thought, a million different thoughts running through her head. Finally, she thought of something. The idea made her smirk to herself, and she knew that this plan would work, because it was just so brilliant. She grabbed a joint from one of the drawers, slowly lighting it and taking a hit. Her eyelids fluttered closed and she took another slow hit as she waited. After a moment he appeared in the bed beside her and she smirked darkly. She looked over to him, and her eyebrow slowly arched. His head found it’s way to her stomach like it always did, and she let out a small giggle. She ran her hand through his hair, and bit her lip gently. “Hm...what ever do you mean? She sat up slightly, looking down to him, smirking darkly.

d o n t t r y t o m a k e m e s t a y o r a s k i f i m o k a y i don't have the answer.... The silly young man shrugged his shouldered and let out a laugh. Yah... His mind was definitely not the most sterile surface in the universe. But honestly why did it matter?!? Nobody was going to perform surgery on his mind like it was the operating table! That would kind of be fucking awesome, but the likelihood that would actually happen was less than slim to none. It was less than none. It was less than impossible even! Perhaps in the future when zombies roamed the earth. Then! Maybe when the human race starts to become endangered after other, more superior races start to hunt humans and use them as resources! How fucking awesome would that be!?!?! Instead of mining for gold "creatures" would be hunting for humans to get their exotic minerals from! What might this elite species extract from human beings first?!?! Maybe if enough semen was harvested it would created some sort of gem. That'd be fucking awesome! Or maybe they'd just use humans as like they did in that movie... What was it? Oh! "Daybreakers". When they take all those humans and slowly draw blood from them as their creating new blood cells! Except it'd be with semen instead! Then again dealing with another bloke's semen, what the hell was Eddie thinking in the first place?!?! Actually, that was a very valid point. Where had this train of thought come from. Or should it be cum from? Eddie smirked internal thought. His thoughts started to wander once again. He wondered how the whole meditation process worked. He was almost certain he wouldn't be able to achieve a clear head. What did a clear head even consist of? Was thinking about donuts allowed? Damn, he really wanted a donut right now. Hashtag: Ghost life. Hashtag: Hating it. Hastag: Imma celeb get me out of here! Hashtag: Really though...
Eddie was the caring type. The type that liked to capture spiders and then released them into the wild. One time he killed a mouse, and it ripped him up in side. He hadn't meant to kill it! He was under the impression that like cats, mice could squeeze through tight spaces. His mum kept screaming and shit...It when like this: mouse in da house, mouse in between the wall and a box, R.I.P. Speaking of this dead mouse, he wondered why he hadn't seen it. His mind was still turning over the whole animal heaven thing... Did animals cross over immediately? Not important right now! Eddie forced his thoughts into the right direction. He cared about Narcissa deeply. She was a good girl. Very sweet, just very emotional at times. She seemed like the jealous type. The easily insulted type. But he still liked her a lot. She didn't judge him too much. And when she did judge him, it was a good kind of judgment. Eddie felt comfortable with her. It felt like he'd known her for years and years. Then again, he got close with people really easily. But Cissy was different. Her pain was different. It was.... He didn't know how to explain it! Could it be that his mind had gone blank?!?!? Good God!!!
One of the reasons her most likely felt so comfortable with Cissa was because she was a friend before she was anything more. She wasn't one of those annoying girls who constantly need a dick plugged into their pussy to make themselves feel whole or some shit like that. Any girl that would be okay with helping him find his living girlfriend, the mother of his child, someone to spend the rest of her life with and take care of her, was someone to hold onto, even if only for a friendship that would last a lifetime. Cissa was a beautiful person, inside and out. He grinned up at her, slowly closing his eyes as she ran her long fingers through his hair. Subconsciously he leaned into her touch. Eddie pouted up at her as she proceeded to pretend to forget! That little wench! "Cissy! You're killing me!!!" He laughed, knowing she'd make a comment about him already being dead. He scooted up slightly until his lips touched her breast. A darker, sneakier smirk appeared across his lips as he pulled off her shirt. "Super Trouper beams are gonna blind me, but I won't feel blue, like I always do, 'cause somewhere in the crowd there's you" Eddie sang softly, his lips pressed to her breast, a dark smirk on lips. He laughed as he moved on top of her and sucked on her skin gently. "Tell me about operation big sausage!!!"

with a touch of a new heart, Narcissa’s thoughts wandered as she laid there. She took another hit off the joint and a lazy smirk formed on her lips. For a moment she thought about her parents. She wondered how those bastards were getting along, what with their only daughter dead. A part of her wanted to go to them, see how they were doing, if they missed the daughter that they killed...but another part of her, a significantly larger part, discouraged her. She already knew how they were doing - they didn’t care. She knew that they had already sold all of her things, moved into a much larger home, and were now living like they never even had a daughter somewhere off the coast of aruba on the yacht they bought when Cissa was eleven. She spent her sixteenth birthday on that boat. She almost wanted to cry, but really, could she? She didn’t think so, so she pushed the harmful thoughts from her mind and thought of happier, friendlier thoughts, like of the gorgeous young male that laid on her stomach.
Narcissa’s dark smirk returned and her lips soon found his, pulling him closer to her. Her fingers pushed their way through his carmel locks as she kissed him deeper, before pulling away and laying back again. “Babe, I’m afraid I cannot kill you, seeing as you are already dead. Besides, I’m a ghost, and can ghosts really kill anyone?” She smirked, letting out a soft chuckle. She allowed him to remove her shirt and her arms found their way around his shoulders, her eyes closing as she felt his lips. her eyebrows furrowed in pleasure and she let out a soft sigh, smirking darkly. She shook her head slowly and kissed him again deeply, pulling him against her. She let her head fall back as his lips moved across her skin, getting lost in the feeling for a few minutes. She didn’t realize how quickly she had fallen for him. She hadn’t meant to...she hadn’t even wanted to be his friend when she first met him, but now she was under his spell and she knew there was no getting away. “Darling, I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re referring to.” She smirked, arching her eyebrow in an almost challenging way, awaiting his response.
