It was like as soon as he got that car for his seventeenth birthday that he never was home anymore. One time i even got a call from him at one in the morning where he said he made it from our home in Portland all the way down to Eureka, California," Her voice quivered at the memory as she lead her way into the next sentence on the sheet of paper, "I suppose it would only make sense for him to leave us with a car one final time," The tears streamed down her face and blotted the ink on the paper. It didn't matter though, because she already knew the rest of what she was going to say, "But he was only twenty-three, and to see his constant, smiling, friendly, face, look so hollow in front of us is one of the greatest loses this world could experience. I loved him, as i'm sure all the people who he graced in his travels did, and i wish him the best at finding the peace in his life that finally keeps him still." -eulogy presented by harriet melissa howel, mother. ________________________________________________________ the final playlist cove-rhys ever made the quiet things that no one ever knew played by brand new chemical kids and mechanical brides played by pierce the veil the words 'best friend' become redefined played by chiodos this ain't a scene, it's an arms race played by fall out boy if it means a lot to you played by a day to remember my bloody valentine played by good charlotte miserable at best played by mayday parade ________________________________________________________ "We broke up because of Rhys's inability to stay still. He couldn't even get through an entire movie without walking outside to get a drink of water. He'd always ask me to go on these weird, long, drives with him, just to take photos, meet people, and create memories. I always thought his random way of life was too much for me," A smile crossed her face as she remembered what once used to annoy her. It was strange reflecting back so positively on the thing that always made her stir up a fight between the two of them. "Once when i actually went with him on a trip to Seattle i actually got to experience what he does on these trips. He'd go to people on the ocean beach handing out flyers for a band he represented on their street team. I remember one Saturday he went to McDonalds and bought one of those ridiculous deals where he could get fifty chicken nuggets for ten or twenty dollars and he gave them to a homeless man on the way back to Portland. But that's probably what everyone will remember most about him, his ability to make anyone smile, even when he didn't know their name. People just opened up to him. I hope where ever he is now, he is still able to keep that smile on his face that saved so many people he found in his life," She stepped away from the podium with a smile on her face. Of anyone she was the rock. -eulogy presented by danielle brin patrick, best friend. ________________________________________________________ the things cove-rhys brought with him on his travels
